Catenary Lighting: Innovative Design in Contemporary Architecture

This course presents the history of catenaries in architectural design and examines the relationship between catenary systems and lighting.  The presentation discusses engineering and environmental factors, types of catenary lighting layouts and real examples of catenary lighting installations from around the world.

Shannon Yust has a 25-year background in sales and is the National Sales Manager and an owner in Structura, Inc., a commercial, architectural, lighting manufacturing company based in Lenexa, Kansas.  Shannon grew up on a farm in south-central Kansas, attended Kansas State for his undergraduate studies and attended Wichita State for graduate school.  He has resided in Chicago for 20 years and lives in the north-side community of Andersonville.
